I'm Hayan Aloush, a candidate for the Erie School Board. I was born in Syria, moved to Erie in 2016, graduated from Erie High in 2020, and now study Biology at Gannon UniversityI believe investing in education is vital to Erie’s future. The School Board must set a clear vision, build strong support systems, and stay accountable to ensure every child receives a quality education.As a nine-year member of this community, I’m committed to removing learning barriers and supporting all students—whether they choose vocational paths or college. I believe in open dialogue, strong teachers, and active community engagement.Improving student behavior starts with clear expectations and strong school-family partnerships. By focusing on root causes and offering support like counseling and mentoring, we help students feel valued—and make better choices in school.This is about our kids, our community, and our future.
